Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sent I took a chance & ordered this. The name made it sound interesting. I'm so glad I did. I put one in our guest bathroom along with the car jar & my son just fell in love with it. He plans on taking a few with back to college with him. It's a very relaxing scent that's a nice change from the sweet ones. Plan on buying many more, especially since my son enjoys it as well. Have had many compliments. They keep asking where I got it & of course I tell them it's from my favorite place - Yankee Candle. Even my nephew has asked for this both in votive & the wax melt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My hubbies favorite This ia a very clean, fresh scent, reminiscent of man's cologne. My husband loves this one and always lights it in our living room in the evenings. I love the strong black colour. We have several black and white themed rooms in our house, so it goes very well with the decor. Burning this candle freshens the house and leaves it smelling wonderful clean. I have to say though, much as we like this candle, it does seem quite artificial and a little chemically, not really woody as described, which is why I have only given it four out of five stars. I have bought it in several sizes over the years, I particularly like it in the slender jar because it looks very sophisticated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty good I'm on the fence about ordering this in a big jar or not. on the one hand i do really like the scent. it's very heavy, rich and luxurious. because of that i dont think it's an every day scent or something i would want to smell 'just cause'. in fact the more i think about it the more i think i would grow tired of this scent before the jar was halfway through. the scent is good, and if men's cologne smells are your thing in a candle i would definitely recommend it. as a matter of taste, im not so sure they are for me.

This smell is so "sexy", like a man's cologne. It always has a very strong throw, which I love, and lasts a long time after you put it out. It's very earthy and woodsy with a twist of goodness. My favorite, Patchouli, was taken off the list for good so when I found this smell I was hooked. Every sale I load up on the so I always have some on hand.

I've been looking for something warm and masculine (I'm a writer and various scents help inspire my characters) so when I seen this you can't believe how thrilled I was. All the reviews made it seem so amazing so I ended up purchasing the votive just in case, and I'm glad I did. My votive smells like a bar of soap. A very musky bar of soap, and I just can't get past that. When I burn it, it has hardly any throw, but has a lot of scent when you smell it cold. I wish I could say it was an awesome purchase, but it wasn't. For anyone who likes the clean, musky, man smell, you would love this candle! It would be perfect in a man's bedroom or bathroom. Personally, it just wasn't for me.

The only scent I really enjoy and I have probably tried more scents then most people. I love when my home smells inviting! There is now another scent that I plan on rotating with the Midsummers Night, Black Sand Beach!! Bravo Yankee Candles this is the summer scent I have been searching for!!

Just visually the candle in all of its shapes and sizes is striking in its midnight resonance. Light the candle, and the evening gets even better. The strong and haunting aroma moves around your house in a subtle yet striking way and provides the ideal background for a cocktail gathering or quiet drink on the deck. And if you have dreams of such memorable evenings, strike a flame to this wick and most of them just may come true.
