No scent
I have been buying Yankee Candles for 25 years and I have noticed that over the last 6 months you have definitely changed the formula/scents when making candles. Home Sweet Home used to be one of the strongest scents available and one of my favorites but no longer. I am currently burning a large jar and 3 voties in one room and there is absolutely no scent!!!!!!! Every scent I have bought since last fall has no long lasting smell. Please go back to the way Yankee Candle used to produce highly scented candles. I am no longer going to be buying Yankee Candles and I am switching over to another brand. So sad that Yankee has gone downhill in the quality of the scented candles.

Great Fragrance
I have enjoyed Home Sweet Home for many years....however the last 2 I purchased are great on cold sniff, but when burning, I CANNOT smell them. I don't know what has happened to Yankee Candle lately....Evidently you are not using nearly as much of the scented oil! Please go back to the way you used to make them!! Please...I beg you! With the older Home Sweet Home, the fragrance would be noticed in just a few minutes after I lit the candle. Now, I burn these newer ones .....and NOTHING....This is a beautiful candle and great for rainy days, but you just need to make it stronger....LIKE IT USED TO BE!!! Thank you!!

Crazy durable!!
So everyone loves the smells of these candles. And they are great don't get me wrong. But this review I wanted to write because I was so impressed by the container!
So, I was soaking my feet in my foot bath and one of these candles was sitting right beside me. I took my feet out and kicked it by accident. It flew about 4 feet and hit the ceramic floor. I thought for sure it would be broken and shattered as its made of glass, but no. Not a scratch! Not even a scuff! I don't know what kind of glass they use to hold their candles but it's probably out of captain Americas shield or something. It's almost indestructible!

No scent :(
I am so sad to leave a bad rating for yankee candle but I tried everything possible to get this candle to work and I still got no scent at all. I tried it in every room in the house and I could not smell it. I even left it on all day in a small bedroom with the door closed and still no scent. It gave me a wonderful even wax pool but no smell. I am very grateful though for Yankees exchange policy because thankfully I was able to take it to the store and exchange it for another jar. I think I possibly got a dud so I still recommend it because I love the scent. I will stick to the tarts for this one instead of the jars.

Quality control issue?
It's pains me to write an unfavorable review for a candle that used to be my favorite, go to scent. But twice in a year I have ordered this candle (2 of them in my most recent order) and they have arrived with limited cold scent and no scent when they are burning. What's going on Yankee Candle? I ordered them off dot com so I didn't have the benefit of smelling them first. Luckily I've saved my receipt this time and will be taking them back to a store for an exchange. I really hope I just got a bad batch because I truly love this scent!

Truly makes you feel like you're Home Sweet Home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been my "go to" scent for as long as I've been purchasing Yankee Candles which is over 25 years. I may enjoy many of the other scents throughout the year, but this one is my ultimate everyday fragrance; my aromatherapy, the "you're in your calm safe place" scent. Its balance of cinnamon & spice make it a lovely sweet scent that reminds you of being at home, feeling cozy while something nice is baking and then sitting around the kitchen having a good chat. Throughout the years people have always commented how great my house smells and it's undoubtedly due to this perfect scent.

This candle has a very rich scent.
My first Yankee Candle many years ago was French Vanilla, and I loved it. I always asked for it as my gift for any occasion. Soon, all my friends and family were also burning Yankee Candles and asking for them as gifts. We all have our favorite scents, but we like to try others as well, so there’s still an element of surprise. My current favorite is Home Sweet Home.
There was an “Undercover Boss” program I believe within the past year, and I was even more impressed. I was so pleased to see that Yankee Candle continues to grow, and wants to become even better. As I usually prefer to buy locally, I have tried some of the candles made here in Central Texas, but Yankee Candle definitely always beats out the competition. As important to me as anything, is that Yankee Candle is MADE IN THE USA! Thank you Yankee Candle!

Potent!
When cold, the wax has a nice cinnamon smell and a hint of fruity apple. However when burned, the smell becomes very potent of cinnamon, so much that it's almost overpowering. The fruity apple note that attracted me to this candle in the store is sadly, not detectable while burning. I found that this candle has a decent throw, especially for a fragrance that is not one of my favorites. The only thing I have noticed about Yankee candles is their tendency to sputter with a large flame that dances wildly, thus producing soot. I am careful to keep the wick trimmed to 1/4", even trimming it while burning and then relighting it, however the flame continues to dance anyway.
